Charlotte Metrolina Civil War RoundTable History:

The Charlotte Metrolina Civil War RoundTable (CMCWRT) was organized in the 1970s as the Charlotte Civil War RoundTable with a focus upon non-partisan, education and discussion of the American Civil War sites and history.   The key founding members were Bill Quinn, Selby Daniels, Larry Walker, Brad Bush, etc.  The RoundTable has had several meeting places: Providence Baptist Church, St. Gabriel Church and several restaurants.  Since 2014 meetings have been held Charlotte Museum of History located at 3500 Shamrock Drive, Charlotte, NC.

During the 1990s the name was changed to the Piedmont Civil War RoundTable (PCWRT) to appeal to interested persons outside Charlotte and Mecklenburg County. Current membership is about 150, with a good mix of men and women.   Membership is open to anyone with an interest in history and preservation of our heritage.
