About Us

The Charlotte Metrolina Civil War Round Table serves the metrolina area of both North and South Carolina.   Our Round Table was founded in the 1970’s to provide a forum for non-partisan study, education and discussion of the American Civil War.

The RoundTable meets five (5) times a year: September, November, January, March, and April. The September, November, January, and March regular meetings begin at 7:30 PM at the Charlotte Museum of History located at 3500 Shamrock Drive in Charlotte. The April meeting is now called the Annual Civil War Symposium which lasts from 8:30AM-2:30 PM. The first four meetings are free and open to the public. There is a registration fee and lunch cost for the April Symposium.
Annual membership dues are $25 per member. Our RoundTable is a not-for-profit historical and educational organization active in the preservation and protection of American Civil War sites and history. We solicit speakers who are willing to share with us their interest and knowledge of the American Civil War. For more information and to get on our program calendar, contact President Jim Sasser at 704-552-0579 or sasserjhs@aol.com.
